Trade and energy topics will be priority for Russia at APEC summit - presidential aide

MOSCOW, November 17. /TASS/. Cooperation in the sphere of energy, trade, food security strengthening and development of transport infrastructure will be priority issues to be discussed by the Russian delegation headed by President Vladimir Putin within the framework of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Lima on November 19-20, presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said on Thursday. "Russia’s participation in the forum is primarily aimed at cooperation in the trade sphere, strengthening food and energy security, transport infrastructure extension and diversification of trade routes," Ushakov said. Promotion of innovative growth, development of common educational space in the Asia-Pacific Rim, terrorism and corruption combating and increase of emergencies readiness level are among important topics Russia is going to raise during the forthcoming forum.
