Iran, Tajikistan pursue trade exchange
New York, IRNA – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon have held talks on the expansion of the level of economic cooperation and trade exchange.
The talks were held on the sidelines of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, US, on Tuesday.
The two presidents stressed that holding intergovernmental committees to combat terrorism, ensure tranquility in Afghanistan, and prevent foreigners’ interference is an important measure to bring about sustainable security in the region.
About Tehran-Dushanbe ties, they said that making use of economic committees' capacities can help the two countries share potentials and capabilities in order to expand cooperation.
The Iranian president arrived in New York on Monday (September 18) to attend and address the 78th session of the UN General Assembly from September 18 to 26.
In his speech to the UN session on Tuesday, President Raisi underlined that the Americanization project for the world has completely failed.
