Global call for prevention of violent extremism through girls’ education to be made in Baku

Baku, May 1, AZERTAC The 4th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue due to take place in Baku this week will see the launch of a global call for prevention of violent extremism through girls’ education, according to head of the Department of International Cooperation at the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the forum Vasif Eyvazzade. He said the call will be made by Azerbaijani First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva and UNESCO Director General Irina Bokova at a high-level meeting on the prevention of violent extremism, migrant and refugee problems. Eyvazzade described the project as unique, saying it will be on UNESCO's agenda.
