Russian, Chinese filmmakers to discuss promising projects at Moscow Film Festival

MOSCOW, June 26. /TASS/. Representatives of the Russian and Chinese film industry will discuss promising projects and efforts to access the two countries’ markets at the 39th Moscow International Film Festival (MIFF) on Monday.
"The main objectives of the meeting are to create an annual working platform within the framework of the Moscow International Film Festival to exchange the experience of cooperation and communication between Russian and Chinese producers and set up an independent committee to promote Russian cinema in China," the festival’s representatives said.
It is expected that taking part in the roundtable discussion will be Director of the Cinematography Department at the Russian Ministry of Culture Vyacheslav Telnov, Cinema Fund Executive Director Anton Malyshev along with well-known film producers, including Fyodor Bondarchuk, Sergey Selyanov, Alexey Petrukhin, Vyacheslav Murugov and Timur Bekmambetov.
The Chinese side will be represented by a delegation of China Film Co-Production Corporation whose functions include the consideration and approval of applications for co-production between China and other countries.
