1st VP Felicitates Malawi On Independence Day

Tehran, July 25, IRNA – First Vice-President Mohammad-Reza Rahimi, in a message on Wednesday, felicitated his Malawian counterpart Khumbo Kachali on the country's Independence Day. In his message, Rahimi also congratulated the people and government of the Malawi on the occasion, wishing for promotion of bilateral cooperation between Iran and the southeast-African country. Malawi is a landlocked country which gained its independence from Britain in July 1964. It is over 118,000 square km (45,560 sq mi) with an estimated population of more than 13,900,000. Its capital is Lilongwe./end
