1st VP: Iran Seeks Peace, Security For All Regional States

Muscat, Jan 31, IRNA - First Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi on Monday said Iran is seeking a region full of peace and security for all nations, adding Tehran welcomes reinforcement of ties with Oman. Rahimi made the remarks in a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Oman Fahd Bin Mahmoud Ale Sa’id in Muscat. Describing Iran-Oman ties as historical and unbreakable, Rahimi said all regional nations are on board of a single ship for which any insecurity is harmful. He reiterated that peace and security in the Middle East region must be provided only by regional countries themselves. Rahimi said Tehran is seeking to expand ties with Muscat in all fields of interests and hence it is ready to implement al agreements inked by the two countries as soon as possible. Ale Sa’id termed Iran as a powerful and influential country in the region and said his country is seeking a sincere and brotherly ties with Iran. He said Oman supports Iran’s rights and has always advised regional countries to cooperate with Iranians who enjoy a very rich culture and civilization. The Omani deputy premier called for speedy implementation of agreements signed by the two countries and said, 'We must put all these documents in practice for the sake of the development of both nations.' /end
