Autumn session of parliament opens

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Regular autumn session of the State Great Khural (parliament) opened Tuesday at 11.50 am, with a participation of 48 parliamentarians or 63.2% of the total MPs. The Speaker of parliament Z.Enkhbold addressed the opening, stressing that this session intends to adopt draft laws on the 2014 budget of Mongolia, on the 2014 budget for the Human Development Fund (HDF), and on the 2014's fund for the social insurance fund. Due to overestimating the 2013 budgetary income, the balance of revenue and expenditure has been lost, so it has become inevitable to make clarifications in the 2013 budget, the Speaker underlined. The session also aims to seriously discuss and adopt the 2014 budget, connecting it with the current political and social-and-economic conditions in accordance with the budget stability law. Mr Enkhbold emphasized an importance of promptly passing the bills on investments and on investment fund, and other draft amendments to the laws regarding minerals and mining. These drafts have been transferred into final discussions during the irregular spring session of parliament.
