Azerbaijan, European Union clinch agreement on readmission of persons residing without authorisation

Brussels, February 28 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan and European Union have signed an agreement on the Readmission of Persons residing without authorisation. The agreement was signed by head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the EU, Ambassador Fuad Isgandarov, Director-General for Home Affairs (European Commission) Stefano Manservisi and Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Greece – the country currently holding presidency of the Council of the European Union - to the EU Theodoros Sotiropoulos. The agreement will come into force after its endorsement by the European Parliament along with a visa facilitation agreement signed between Azerbaijan and the EU in Vilnius on November 29, 2013.
