Bomb Blast In NW Pakistan Kills Peace Committee Leaders’ Son

Islamabad, May 29, IRNA – A bomb blast took place in Pakistan’s north western Swat district killed son of a peace committee member on Tuesday, local media reported. According to details local Aman Committee Member, Jaja Mian’s son came under attack when a roadside improvised explosive device struck near his car in Mingora area. Moreover, police said 10 people were injured in the explosion and the bomb was detonated through a remote controlled Improvised Explosive Device (IED). Sher Ali was a relative of the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Puran Tehsil Khan Bahadar Khan who died in yesterday’s bombing in Shangla. No one claimed responsibility for Tuesday’s attack. Meanwhile the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on Tuesday claimed responsibility for yesterday’s attack on a police mobile van in the Poran subdivision of Shangla district which killed five policemen. TTP spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan said the group would continue to fight against forces that oppose its organization’s aims./end
