Cleric: Zionist Regime To Face Destruction By Muslim World Unity

Tehran, Aug 18, IRNA – Tehran’s Substitute Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami said on Friday that the Zionist regime will meet destruction through unity in the Islamic world. Making the remark in the Friday Prayer sermons, the Ayatollah expressed gratitude for the massive and invaluable participation of people in the World Quds Day rallies. He said in the past six decades since the occupation of Palestine, the only effective solution to the issue of Palestine has been the Intifada of the nation not talks around negotiation tables. Saying that Zionists understand only the language of force, the cleric said the Islamic world, after the waves of the Islamic awakening, has proved it is really strong and has many capacities. Only during one year after the start of the Islamic awakening, the regional nations have toppled four dictators, he added. The Ayatollah further regretted that certain Islamic countries not only declined to despise the Zionist regime but followed it as their lord. He noted that these Islamic countries led attacks to Lebanon and Gaza with the encouragement of the Zionist regime./end
