Conclusion of nuclear talks will benefit all peace-advocates
Tehran, May 13, IRNA – Visiting Iraqi President Fouad Masoum said that finalizing the nuclear talks between Iran and the 5+1 will benefit regional countries as well as advocates of peace and security in the entire world.
He made the remarks in a joint press conference here with his Iranian counterpart President Hassan Rouhani on Wednesday.
President Masoum voiced Iraq’s support for the talks and said Baghdad confirmed Iran's nuclear talks with the world powers.
Baghdad believes there is no reason for any country to feel threatened by the nuclear agreement between Iran and the Group 5+1.
President Masoum also appreciated the support provided by the Iranian nation, government and leadership to his respective country.
The Iraqi President also welcomed Iran’s rich experiences in the field of agricultural, industrial, road construction and healthcare services.
He said it was absolutely necessary to carry out projects in southern Iraq to fight deforestation wave in that region.
President Masoum noted that he discussed oil and gas projects with President Rouhani.
He said the two countries shared many common views on political issues and enjoyed similar ideas about the intervention of foreign forces in the region.
The first priority for Syria is to fight against terrorism as is the case in Iraq, President Masoum stressed.
He added from the very early days of te Saudis military invasion on Yemen, Iraqi officials have clearly announced that the war against Yemenis should stop as it would lead to creation of discord among different strata of people.
The Iraqi President said he believed all parties should focus on political dialogues.
