Defense Minister meets Ambassador of DPRK

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Defense Ts.Tsolmon Tuesday received Mr Hong Kyu, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) to Mongolia. The Defense Minister noted that the bilateral ties including the defense cooperation and relations have been successfully developing, and expressed a readiness of Mongolia to hold joint training of athletes, to exchange scientific workers and medical doctors. In turn, the Ambassador mentioned that the countries are possible to forward the bilateral defense cooperation in many forms, and then supported the Defense Minister’s ideas and initiatives on expanding the cooperation. At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador gave a short report about the Korean Peninsula, and exchanged views with the Defense Minister on the security in Northeast Asia and the Korean Peninsula matter.
