Dy FM: Iran Backs Unity Of Palestinian Groups

Tehran, Feb 13, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affaires Amir Abdollahian, says Iran supports unity among Palestinian groups. Talking to Palestinian Acting Foreign Minister Ghazi Ahmed Hamd here on Sunday, Abdollahian said Iran follows irrevocable principles in support for restoration of the Palestinian people's rights, giving the priority to Palestine and noble Quds issues. Hamd in turn thanked Iran for its unchangeable stances in support for Palestine, saying regional developments would in the future be in favor of the Muslim world. He said Tel Aviv is worried about the prospect of Islamic Awakening, considering it as a big danger to its very existence. He added that the Zionist regime sends spies to fan ethnic discord in regional countries, while provoking international community to counter popular uprisings./end
