Erdogan: it is impossible to remain silent towards incidents in Syria

SEOUL (AA) – March 25, 2012 – Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that it was impossible to remain silent towards what was happening in Syria.
We are exerting efforts to do the necessary things within the scope of international laws, said Erdogan, expressing pleasure that he shared similar views about this issue with U.S. President Barack Obama.
Following his meeting with Obama in Seoul on Sunday, Erdogan told reporters that they had a fruitful meeting which focused on recent incidents in Syria.
Turkey feels sorry about the ongoing incidents in Syria, said Erdogan, adding that Turkey had become the most important migration center for Syrians.
The number of Syrian citizens who migrated in Turkey exceeded 17,000 so far, said Erdogan, adding that on the other hand, the death toll in Syria was also rising.
It is impossible to remain silent and not interfere in this situation, said Erdogan.
