EU reason for lack of solution in Cyprus, says Turkish Cypriot President Eroglu

GAZIANTEP (A.A) - December 25, 2011 - Turkish Cypriot President Dervis Eroglu said Sunday that the European Union (EU) was the reason for a lack of solution in Cyprus after the union permitted the entrance of Greek Cypriots as a member. Speaking at a ceremony to mark the 90th anniversary of the liberation of the south-eastern province of Gaziantep, President Eroglu said that the EU implemented double standards by calling on Turkey to "solve the Cyprus problem". We continue to struggle to find a solution to the Cyprus problem. We will come out of the negotiations table in the best way possible, Eroglu stressed.
