Ex-PM: Pakistan wants excellent ties with Iran

Islamabad, Dec 13, IRNA - Pakistan former prime minister described Islamabad-Tehran ties as 'cordial and brotherly' and stressed taht Pakistan wants excellent relations with Iran as a friendly neighbor.
In an exclusive interview with IRNA, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, the former prime minister and also a leading member of Pakistan Peoples Party(PPP), said that Pakistan and specially the PPP wants cordial relations with all neighbors of Pakistan, whether it is India, Afghanistan, China or Iran and we have always enjoyed excellent ties with Iran.
Former prime minister of Pakistan says Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project was initiated in his tenure and it should be completed as early as possible.
He said, 'Iran is our brotherly country and during the tenure of Pakistan Peoples Party, we had excellent relations. We also signed the gas pipeline and electricity agreements with Iran, we wanted to have more cooperation with Iran and I believe that we need to even further improve our relations in different fields.
