FM Spokesman: Anti-Iran Conspiracies At Peak Due To Our Might

Bushehr, Feb 16, IRNA – Foreign Ministry Spokesman said at a gathering of IRGC Navy staff here Wednesday peak of anti-Iran conspiracies today is due to our country’s noticeable might and because Iran’s revolution has left its effect on regional nations. Ramin Mehmanparast who was speaking for the Islamic Republic Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy 2nd District in Bushehr reiterated, “Right after the revolution gained victory the enmities of our nation did not spare any effort aimed at hatching conspiracies and plotting seditions, including sowing seeds of discord, assassinations, imposing a full scale war, imposing mounting pressure and increasing sanctions etc., but today our country with its thirty-three year experience and the leadership of our Supreme Leader is capable of emerging victorious from every challenge, and for proving our capabilities and our might.” Referring to Iran’s mighty resistance in confrontation with the eastern and western superpowers during the years of the Iraqi imposed war, Mehmanparast added, “Parallel with the passage of decades from the victory of the revolution, the severity of the seditions, too, kept on increasing and presently we are witnesses to the peak of seditions and enmities against Iran, and since Iran is a strong and influential country today, and the penetration of the revolution’s influence and message among the regional nations has disabled them in easy pursuing of their pursuance of their plots in the region, which is why they have increased their pressure against our nation.” Mehmanparast added, “Today the enmities have reached their peak because the enemies have failed in their efforts aimed at defeating the Islamic Revolution. The objective of those enmities was proving to the world nations that any country moving towards independence would be faced with difficulties.” Mehmanparast referred to the recent developments in the Middle East and North Africa regions, reiterating, “Last year the wave of Islamic Awakening movement disorganized all their programming. The message of our revolution has influenced the regional nations and they have realized that it is possible to achieve power and advancement despite the US, Zionist, and their allies’ efforts to create hindrances, which lead nowhere.” He said that therefore the anger of the United States and the racist Zionist regime are well justified, because they have rightly assumed that the Islamic Revolution of Iran has been the main source for generating all these developments. He reiterated, “The ousting of the west-appointed dictators by the nations is a horrendous nightmare for the United States and the Zionist regime. End of the Mubarak era in Egypt meant the ousting of the greatest ally of the Zionists, and today the wave of hatred against America and Israel in these counties is quite evident, and these are the developments which have seriously worried them.” Mehmanparast emphasized, “They feel they have got weaker compared to 33 years ago, while the Islamic Revolution has gained much greater strength and is dynamically playing roles, having become an influential power in the region, while the public opinion of the entire region is aligned with Iran.” Elsewhere in his address, he said that breaking out of a military engagement between Iran and one of the regional countries is ideal for the, reiterating, “By creating these challenges and crises they try to guide the public opinion through their satellites and their other means towards a direction to pretend that the engagements are between Iran and the Arabs, or between he Shi’a and the Sunni Muslims. If this plot would be successfully implemented and the regional public opinion would be diverted from disgust against the Zionists-US moves towards issues such as the Shi’a-Sunni, or the Arab-Iranian conflicts, their mission would be accomplished.” The foreign ministry spokesman said that linking Iran with terrorism is a claim in the agenda of the United Sates, and Washington is seriously pursuing the matter. He said, “Claiming that Iran had planned to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to Washington was one of the funniest baseless claims, to an extent that even in the United States it was compared with Hollywood scenarios. But as we noticed, the matter was seriously pursued at highest political and diplomatic levels just aimed at directing the public opinion in a certain direction.” Mehmanparast added, “Right after that they claimed that Iran is going to launch operations in some foreign countries, and immediately after that the Zionist regime, too, taking stands, and accused Iran of involvement in such moves.” He emphasized, “By pursuing these goal-oriented moves that try to incite the world public opinion against our nation, and of course, we, too, make our moves respectively.” The foreign ministry spokesman reiterated, “As long as the three internal necessary conditions of unity and solidarity, absolute obeying from the Supreme Leader, and attachment to the ideals, values and beliefs of the Islamic Revolution, which led to the victory of the revolution are preserved and remain intact, the Islamic Revolution of Iran would not be harmed from the side of any of those threats.” The Foreign Ministry spokesman added, “The enemies pursue these seditions with high level concentration and as a whole, because they have assumed that doing so they could weaken the three mentioned axes. We need to make the enemy lose hope though. If our nation would attend the scene solidly and support the Supreme Leader and our beliefs, the enemies would be disheartened, just like the Bahman 22nd (Feb 13th) nationwide rally, which was a horrendous nightmare for them, as they had never assumed that the nation would more solidly than the past attend the scene.” The foreign ministry spokesman also referred to the need for the people’s strong presence at the upcoming parliamentary election polls, arguing, “Broad presence of the people at the polls would annul the seditions of the enemies.” He added, “At times when our military capabilities would be at their peak, the enemies would feel that any military aggression of them would face a very serious response.” Mehmanparast also referred to the latest developments in Syria and Iran’s respective stands, arguing, “Keeping in mind the recent developments in the region, the United States is trying to break the ring of resistance and seek an escape way for the occupier regime of the Holy Qods, and they have chosen Syria as the platform for such activities. At any rate, the Syrian people have demands, but the events there are not limited to that alone. They intend to lead the Syrian internal situation towards a total chaos. Aggressions must end and the ground for military interference must be eliminated soon.” Referring to the stands adopted by Russia and China on Syria, he said, “The Western countries have comprehensive plans for Syria, including making changed in the UN Security Council. After the stands adopted by Russia and China against the anti-Syrian resolution they announced that Russia should be denied its veto right, and this means they are after making alteration in the UNSC and creating a new power balance.” Mehmanparast said, “They are guiding the world public opinion towards announcing that Russia and China are no longer UN Security Council members. That is while today Russia is going through drastic developments in its internal political scene, and Moscow is after playing a greater role in regional developments./end
