Girls’ School Blown Up In NW Pakistan

Islamabad, Jan 20, IRNA – Extremist elements blew up a government girls’ school in north western tribal region on Saturday, police said.
Unknown men blew up a girls’ primary school with explosives in Budh Bair area of Peshawar.
According to police, unidentified culprits had planted explosives material near the main gate of the school that went off with a big bang.
As a result of explosion, the school building was badly damaged while it flattened two classrooms completely. Fortunately, no casualty was reported in the incident.
No group claimed responsibility for the attack. But the authorities blame Taliban militants for attacks on schools.
Taliban are accused of destroying hundreds of schools, mostly in Pakistan's northwest and the tribal regions, during their campaign against the government./end
