Haddad Adel: Syria Should Not Let West Break Its Resistance Front

Tehran, Aug 6, IRNA – Majlis deputy from Tehran Gholam Ali Haddad Adel said on Sunday that the West and the Zionist regime in particular are bent on defeating the resistance front in Syria and advised the Syrian people to resist against the plot. Speaking to reporters, he said Syria should further strengthen its resistance front and under no circumstances should it let the West break resistance in that country. On failure of Kofi Annan's peace plan on Syria, he said the Americans and the Zionist regime are reluctant to resolve the crisis in Syria and always try to make the region insecure. He expressed the hope that through resistance of the Syrian people the crisis would be resolved soon. On recent developments in Saudi Arabia, he said the officials in Arab states should bear in minds that a new wave of Islamic awakening has started and the Saudi people are well aware of the injustice and tyranny being done against people in their country and in Bahrain.
