Indian PM arrives in Tehran for NAM summit

TEHRAN, Aug. 29 (MNA) - Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh arrived in Tehran on Tuesday afternoon to take part in the summit meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement leaders which opens on Thursday and closes on Friday. Prime Minister Singh was welcomed at the airport by Iran’s Economy Minister Shamsedin Hosseini. Singh is scheduled to have a series of meetings with senior Iranian officials including Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. A 150-member delegation is accompanying the prime minister in the visit. India was a key founder of the NAM in 1961.
