Interior Min: Iran Doesn't Discriminate In Offering Services To Various Sects

Zahedan, Aug 14, IRNA – Iran's interior minister emphasized here Monday evening that the Islamic Republic never discriminates among various religious sects in the country, but enemies have always been trying to convey the existence of discrimination in Iran aimed at sowing discord seeds.
Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar who was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the new governor general of Sistan-o Baluchistan province for the provincial managers, elites and tribal heads of Shi’a and Sunni Iranian sects, added, “For the Islamic Republic system and government the important matter is comprehensive and solid development of the country and national might, and these can be achieved only under the umbrella of balanced development and national solidarity.”
Addressing the audience, he reiterated, “As one of the top officials of the country I humbly tell you that one of the permanent advices of the country’s top officials has always been paying greater attention to the deprived and remote parts of the country, and offering services regardless of the tastes and interests of the groups and tribes.”
The interior minister referred to the advancements achieved by the Islamic Republic of Iran, arguing, “Iran ranks seventh in aerospace engineering today, and the enemies are by no means pleased with this fact, which is why thy try to aim at us as an Islamic model country resorting to any weapon, particularly negative propagations, and one of their main accusations is conveying the idea that sectarian discrimination exists in Iran.”
Mohammad-Najjar added, “Today the powerful countries of the world, too, are entangled with numerous problems, such as the numerous economic difficulties in the west, reflected in people setting themselves ablaze in some countries, which is proof for this claim, and yet they monitor our different issues, and even minute deficiencies, aggrandizing them in their bulk of poisonous propagations.”
Member of the country’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) referring to the west’s efforts aimed at sowing he seeds of discord among the Middle East Muslims and flickering the flames of war against them, he said, “During the course of the past few years they have been intriguing the Muslims against Muslims in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other Middle East countries, and today, too, they are trying to intensify the enmities and differences in Syria and the whole world has realized this point today.”
Mohammad-Najjar referred to unity as the secret of achieving victory for the Islamic Republic of Iran, reiterating, “Without that important factor security would not have been achieved, and the government always advises the governor generals and the top system officials that their approach should be based on maintaining unity and solidarity among various religious sects.”
Member of the government’s agricultural work group said, “Two million hectares of idle and virgin agricultural lands have been identified in the country and the government by allocating supportive policies and paying facilities has aimed at creating jobs, and thus tries to revive those lands side by side of another 18 million hectares of land.”
Mohammad-Najjar meanwhile reiterated, “Development of Sistan-o Baluchistan province is a priority for the government and from 690 ratifications in the president’s provincial visits 362 cases have been fully Implemented and put to use in this province and the rest have progress to a very high degree.”
The interior minister said, “The government has been very determined to develop the less advanced and more deprived provinces, particularly the Sistan-o Baluchistan province to a greater extent and to provide greater welfare facilities and more eye catching advancement in remotest parts of the Islamic country.”
At the ceremony the four year services of the former governor general of Sistan-o Baluchistan Ali-Mohammad Azad was commemorated and Hatam Narou’ie was inaugurated as the new top representative of the government in the province.
