Iran Becomes Rotating President Of PUIC

Tehran, Feb 17, IRNA – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani became the rotating President of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member States (PUIC) on Monday. The PUIC presidency was handed over to Iran from Sudan during the PUIC General Committee session held in the Iranian capital this morning. Niger and Tunisia, as representatives of African and Arab states, respectively were elected as vice-presidents of the union for a year. The 9th session of the PUIC will start on February 18 for two days./end
