Tehran, June 22, IRNA – Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani on Saturday underlined the need for participation of all Iraqi ethnic groups in the countryˈs political structure. Referring to different losses inflicted on Iran during Saddam Hussein era, Larijani said Iran has the right to want a neighbor with which it could peacefully coexist. The Iranian speaker said Iran has always had friendly relations with all ethnic groups in Iraq, including Shia and Sunni Muslims and the Kurds, and supports their rights. ˈWe regard it as unacceptable to deprive any Iraqi ethnic group of their constitutional rights by anyone,ˈ Larijani said. Larijani said that the western governments have violated Iranian nationˈs human rights under the pretext of the nuclear dispute over the past 10 years. He said that the western governments must welcome the Iranian governmentˈs outreach to reach a settlement over the nuclear dispute. He made clear that the Iranian government is pursing to end the trend ushered in by the hostile governments in the west against the Iranian national interests. He criticized imposition of the arbitrary sanctions on Iran during the past three years.
