Iran Cautions Western Governments Against Military Intervention In Syria

Tehran, April 24, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast on Tuesday cautioned the western governments against military intervention in Syria. He said that military intervention in Syria is in contravention of international law. Speaking to reporters in his weekly press briefing, he said the Syrian crisis should be resolved through diplomatic means as well as non-interference of foreign countries. Any military action in Syria will be tantamount to violating human rights of Syrian people, he said.
