Iran Condoles With Pakistan On Death Of Religious Leader

Tehran, Jan 7, IRNA -- Iran on Sunday condoled with Pakistani government and nation on death of religious leader Ghazi Hussein Ahmad. Foreign Minister, Ali Akbar Salehi, in a message to Pakistani counterpart expressed condolences on the death of Ghazi Hussein Ahmad, a Pakistani high-ranking cleric. The message read, “Ghazi Hussein Ahmad was a gracious scholar and a well aware politician who served to unify the world of Islam and create unity among Shia and Sunni Muslims.” “He never feared threats and terrorism in the way of promoting Islam and Islamic Ummah and insisted on the Islamic unity.” Salehi expressed his sincere condolences to Pakistani government and nation and the family of late Ghazi Hussein Ahmad./end
