Iran FM : 21st Century Belongs To Africa

Tehran, June 1, IRNA – Iranˈs Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi said here Friday that the 21st century belongs to Africa. Salehi made the remarks in a ceremony commemorating ˈAfrica Dayˈ held in the Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIA) affiliated to Iran Foreign Ministry. ˈWhat we witnessed recently in Africa clearly indicates that huge political, cultural, social and economic developments have happened in this continent,ˈ added Salehi. He meanwhile stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always done its utmost to reinforce practical and sustainable cooperation with African countries. Supporting the stances of nations and particularly the African countries and proposing expansion of relations in political, economic and cultural arenas are considered as main objectives of the founding principles of Iranˈs foreign policy./end
