Iran-Iraq Security Agreement To Be Implemented Soon : Min.

Tehran, March 5, IRNA – Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar said here Monday that Iran-Iraq agreement based on security, political and cultural cooperation will be implemented soon. Mohammad Najjar made the remarks in a meeting with visiting acting Iraqi interior minister Adnan al-Assadi. The Iranian minister further referred to Iran and Iraq as two neighboring and brotherly states enjoying various commonalities. As to bilateral agreement, Mohammad Najjar said it was inked by the two sides during his recent Baghdad visit. Boosting cooperation between two countriesˈ provinces, fighting terrorism and facilitating trade exchanges are among the issues stressed in the agreement, he added. Al-Assadi, heading a political delegation, arrived in the Iranian capital on Sunday./end
