Iran Minister, UNIDO Chief Discuss Issues Of Mutual Interest

Vienna, Nov 30, IRNA – Iran's Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade in a meeting with United Nationa Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) director general here proposed that south-south cooperation center be established with UNIDO participation. Mehdi Ghazanfari, who is in Vienna, in a meeting with Kandeh k. Yumkella here on Tuesday called merger of Ministries of Industry, Mine and Commerce as well as executing Subsidiary Regulating Plan as two big economic developments in Iran. Yumkella, for his part, said that implementation of Subsidiary Regulating Plan was a brave work that Iranian government managed to do, while many countries have not been able to do. Considering appropriate activities of UNIDO representative in Iran as well as establishment of the merged ministry, the two sides called for setting up South-South Cooperation Center with participation of UNIDO, since Iran enjoys high technological ability and can help other countries in this regard./end
