Iran, Obstacle For US, Zionist Expansionism: Shamkhani

Tehran, Aug 18, IRNA – Head of Armed Forces Strategic Studies Center Vice Admiral Ali Shamkhani said the Islamic Republic of Iran is a big obstacle for the expansionist policies of the US and the Zionist regime being pursued by them in other countries. Vice Admiral Shamkhani made the remarks on the sidelines of International Quds Day rally in Tehran on Friday while referring to the fact that the West’s hostilities against Iran are attributed to the reality of our country. He noted that Quds Day is a very important event in the Muslim World. “Quds Day is an opportunity which can be seized for confronting the illegitimate Zionist regime,” Vice Admiral Shamkhani added. Referring to the high volume of animosities against Islamic Republic of Iran, he pointed out when the West feels danger from any country it begins engaging in mobilizing its forces against that particular country and it is exactly what is doing with Iran. Vice Admiral Shamkhani pointed out that the hostility of the US towards IR Iran is quite evident in any document that the US congressmen approve. “Since they (the Americans) know that IR Iran is influential in world affairs, they refer to the ways for confronting Iran in every document,” he added./end
