Iran, Oman To Hold Joint Naval Drill

Tehran, Jan 22, IRNA – District Commander of Iranˈs Navy Captain Omid Golestaneh said on Monday that the Islamic Republic of Iran and Oman will hold joint naval drill in waters off Bandar Abbass port city. According to the public relations department of Iranˈs Navy, an Omani warship docked at Bandar Abbas port on Sunday. The rescue operation aims to help those who may be caught in storms, provide them with shelter and prevent likely damage, he said. The joint military operation will be held in Iranˈs territorial border waters in the Persian Gulf, said the commander./end
