Qom, May 28, IRNA – Commander of Basij Organization Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi said the Islamic Iran owes its grand achievements in various political, economic and scientific fields to its spirit of confronting the western hegemonic powers. Addressing a gathering of Basij clerics and commanders here Monday evening, he said sabotage and disruption carried out by the West against Iran are aimed at derailing the country’s move towards development and prosperity. Stressing that western countries are economically and politically in a wrecked state, he said that is why they are using all their might to confront the Islamic Iran. However, he underlined, the Iranian nation is going to create yet another epic by its massive and enthusiastic presence in the upcoming presidential elections./end
