Iran-UAE Call For End To Clashes Among Egyptian Groups

Tehran, July 15, IRNA – Iranian and the UAE foreign ministers on Sunday called for measures to be take to end clashes between Egyptian groups. In a phone call with his UAE counterpart Sheikh Abdullah Ibn Zayed on Sunday, Iran's Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi also discussed latest developments in Egypt. Salehi emphasized the importance of paying attention to democracy, preventing conflicts between Egyptian groups and ridding Egyptian community of violence. Both ministers stressed the need for continued dialog and holding of a meeting at the earliest possible time. Salehi had earlier talked on phone with Turkish officials, Egyptian Foreign Minister and Mohammed ElBaradei on the issue./end
