Iranian FM : Iran, Portugal coop. opportunities vast

TEHRAN, Oct.11 (MNA) – Iran’s FM Mohammad Javad Zarif said Iran and Portugal have a great potential for cooperation. Secretary of State for Culture of Portugal Jorge Barreto Xavier has visited Iran to hold a meeting with Mohammad Javad Zarif on Wednesday. During the meeting, Iran’s FM maintained that short-term cooperation between the two countries will pave the way for long-term and strategic cooperation. Zarif welcomed projects proposed by the Portuguese side to expand ties between the two countries in the fields of tourism, film, art and parliamentary cooperation. Jorge Barreto Xavier also stressed the development of ties in all fields including political, cultural and tourism cooperation. He also stressed the need to form parliamentary friendship groups, cooperation between museums and national libraries, as well as mutual participation in film festivals.
