Larijani Calls For Enhanced Tehran-Hanoi Economic, Political Ties

Tehran, Dec 26, IRNA – Majlis Speaker, Ali Larijani, on Tuesday called for enhanced Tehran-Hanoi economic and political ties, citing capacities available for expansion of the two-way cooperation. Larijani made the remarks in a meeting with Chairman of the Vietnamese Parliament's Defense and National Security Commission Nguyen Kim Xua. Larijani said there are abundant capacities available for expansion of cooperation in the industrial and technological spheres. He said promotion of relations between Iranian and Vietnamese private sectors would help them get acquainted with the potentials for economic cooperation. He said that Iranian parliament encourages expansion of cooperation with Vietnam in the economic, industrial and agricultural sectors. The Vietnamese official for his part voiced pleasure with his visit to Iran. He emphasized the need for further acquaintance of Iranian and Vietnamese people with each other. He said there are good capacities for economic cooperation and exchanges in agriculture and industrial sectors. He said exchange of visits by Iranian and Vietnamese political and parliamentary officials would prepare the ground for all-out expansion of relations, in the parliamentary field in particular./end
