Lebanese Ex-president: Iran Seeks Peace, Stability In Region

Beirut, July 31, IRNA - Lebanese ex-president Émile Lahoud on Monday said that Iran, unlike some other countries, has always been seeking peace and stability in the region and has in fact brought dignity and blessings for regional nations. He made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Beirut Ghazanfar Roknabadi . Appreciating Iran’s support for Lebanon, Lahoud said enemines' plots aginst Syria and their mischievous acts in that country are due to Syria's resistance against Israel. He said Iran and Russia’s strong support for Syria will definitely lead to the failure of such conspiracies. Roknabadi congratulated Lahoud on the victory anniversary of resistance movement the 33-days war with the Zionists./end
