Lebanese Parties Praise Iranˈs Support For Palestinian Resistance

Beirut, Aug 2, IRNA – Number of major Lebanese political parties issuing a statement condemned silence of Arab League and most Arab states on crimes committed by the Zionist enemy in Gaza Strip and appreciated Iran and Syriaˈs support for Palestinian resistance and nation. In a statement published on Thursday, the group praised the heroic resistance of the Palestinian nation in confrontation with the Zionist enemyˈs armed to teeth forces in Gaza, and said that the resistance unveiled the flimsy nature of the illegitimate Zionist regime and its ururper army. Lebanese Free Patriotic Movement under the leadership of Michel Naim Aoun, the Amal Movement and the Hezbollah Islamic Resistance Movement were among the signatories of the political statemenet. The group has condemned the barbaric, constant crimes of the Zionist army in massacre of the innocent children, women and elderly people in Gaza, and called it the best reason for the repeated failures of the Zionist enemy in fulfillment of its aggressive goals both in Gaza and in the region, and the reason for the successive victories of the Palestinian and Islamic resistance movements. The statement has also called for the convening of the international criminal tribune to put on trial and punish the Zionist regimeˈs military and political officials for committing war crimes against the innocent people of Palestine. Long and unjustified silence of most of the Arab states and even the Arab League is strongly condemned in the statement. it continues that some Arab states, like year 2006 and the 33-day war, are clandestinely involved in this horrendous US-Zionist conspiracy. It meanwhile points out that the Arab League and a number of Arab leaders and sheikhs hold regular meetings to instigate against the the Syrian people and regime and issues fatwas, but in confrontation with the horrendous and barbaric crimes made by the racist Zionist enemy against the innocent people of Palestine in Gaza they have kept dead silence and even are suprisingly even acting as partners in those crimes and conspiracies. The Lebanese political parties and movements have also called on the Egyptian government to open the border passing point of Rafah for delivering aids for the highly suffering Palestinians and the treatment of the injured people in other countries. They have called on Arab national forces and characters to support the Palestinian people and resistance in these times of emergency need and provide the grounds for breaking the Arab worldˈs deadly silence and for severing of their ameful ties with the Zionist enemy. They have also asked the Arab and third world countries like Venezuela , El Salvador, Peru, Brazil and Chile to recall their ambassadors from the occupied Palestine, and to deprt Israelˈs ambassadors to their countries. Meanwhile, Palestine Embassy in Lebanon on Thursday issued a statement titled ˈPalestine made us uniteˈ calling on the Lebanese nation for declaring their solidarity with the Palestinian resistance and nation in Gaza Strip and to hoist the Palestinian flag on top of their houses./end
