Macau Chief Executive visits Thailand

BANGKOK, May 12 (TNA) - Macau Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On pays a visit to Thailand aiming to deepen co-operation and exchange in tourism, economy, trade and investment. Chui met with Thai Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha at the Government House on Thursday during the first official visit to Thailand by Macau SAR Chief Executive in a decade. Deputy government spokesman Weerachon Sukhontapatipak said the Macau delegation which included top officials and business leaders discussed about economic ties with strong determination to strengthen cooperation for mutual benefits. During the visit Thailand and Macau signed two agreements on establishing friendship between Macau and Phuket. Prayut expressed his support for boosting economic ties between Thailand and Macau regarded as gateway to southern China. (TNA)
