Majlis Commission Discuses Syrian Developments

Tehran, Aug 26, IRNA – Rapporteur of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Majlis (Iranian Parliament), Hossein Naqavi Hosseini said on Sunday that the commission members discussed Syrian developments, in the presence of Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Araqchi today. The recent use of chemical weapons by terrorist groups in Syria and attempts to put the blame on the Syrian government by western states to prepare the ground for military intervention in the country and US reaction to the issue were reviewed during the commission session, Naqavi Hosseini said. They also discussed the governments decision on Iran's nuclear issue to remain in the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) or be handed over to the Foreign Ministry, he added./end
