Majlis Urges World Ulema To Become United Against Takfiri Extremists

Tehran, June 26, IRNA – National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Majlis (Parliament) Tuesday issued a statement urging the world Ulema to become united against dangerous moves of Takfiri extremists. Majlis statement also condemned the recent killing of the prominent Shia cleric Sheikh Hassan Shehata by members of the Takfiri group. Today, the world of Islam is witnessing anti-Islamic moves by Takfiris who kill Muslims even in the holy places, the statement noted. It further underlined the need for uprooting the Takfiri plots. The statement called on all the Ulema across the World of Islam, particularly those of Saudi Arabia, to condemn massacre of Muslims in Pakistan, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Lebanon and some other Islamic states. The Majlis statement further said the Egyptian government is expected to severely punish the culprits of such savage crimes. Takfiri extremists in a brutal attack killed Sheikh Shehata and three of his devotees somewhere near the Egyptian capital yesterday./end
