Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif: Call for solidarity by President Ilham Aliyev is praiseworthy

Tehran, August 7, AZERTAC Call for solidarity by President Ilham Aliyev is praiseworthy, said Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif as he met Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade. They discussed developing prospects of Azerbaijani-Iranian ties. “Iran supports Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif added. The Minister also noted they support candidacy of Azerbaijan`s Ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu to the post of the Director General of the UNESCO. Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade thanked the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran for his support to hold a joint conference on Islamic solidarity and Iranian-Azerbaijani friendship. Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations Mubariz Gurbanli, MPs Eldar Ibrahimov, Hikmat Mammadov, Azerbaijan`s Ambassadors to Russia and Iran Polad Bulbuloglu and Bunyad Huseynov were also present at the meeting.
