Moscow talks will bear no fruit, Iranian MP predicts

TEHRAN, June 10 (MNA) – Iranian MP Esmail Kosari seems quite confident that the next round of talks between Iran and the 5+1 group (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany) in Moscow will produce no positive results because the three Western countries on the group are threatening Iran and Tehran will never “give in” to pressure. “Western countries want to reach a conclusion through intimidation and pressure on the Islamic Republic of Iran and we are not a country to give in to pressure,” Kosari told the Mehr News Agency. In regard to such an approach by the U.S., Britain and even France “I should say with certainty that these negotiations will bear no result,” Kosari insisted. Iran and the 5+1 group held a new round of talks in Baghdad on May 23 and 24 and agreed to continue their negotiations over Tehran’s nuclear program in Moscow on June 18 and 19.
