NEW PRIME MINISTER EXPECTED TO BE NAMED THIS WEEK

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Regular autumn session of the State Great Khural commenced Monday, and it is expected that the new Premier will be named at a plenary meeting on Thursday. Appointment of the Prime Minister has been listed on top of the agendas. In its meeting on September 25, the Mongolian People’s Party (MPP) Conference selected U.Khurelsukh as a nominee for the Prime Minister’s post. The MPP Conference’s decision was submitted by M.Enkhbold, Speaker of Parliament, to the President. Later, U.Khurelsukh got majority of votes at a meeting of the Parliamentary Standing committee on state structure, held last Friday. When the Parliamentary Session approves the nominee’s name, U.Khurelsukh will become the next Prime Minister of Mongolia. B.Batchimeg
