President Ahmadinejad Arrives In Venezuela

Caracas, June 23, IRNA – Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived in Caracas on Friday afternoon, on last leg of his Latin American tour. Ahmadinejad was welcomed by Venezuelan Vice President Elias Jaua and some other Venezuelan high-ranking officials at the Caracas Airport. The Iranian president is scheduled to meet Chavez in the Venezuelan Presidential Palace in coming hours. President Ahmadinejad is to discuss and exchange ideas on the regional and international issues with his close friend President Chavez, there. Ahmadinejad departed Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro city after participation at Rio+20 UN Conference, for Venezuelan capital city Caracas to visit and confer with that country’s top officials on issues of mutual interest.
