President Aide: Miscreants Should Be Prevented From Imposing New Rules

Tehran, July 2, IRNA – President’s senior aide, Seyyed Mojtaba Samareh-Hashemi, said that those who created the existing problems of the world should be prevented from imposing new colonial rules on nations. Samareh-Hashemi made the remarks in an exclusive interview with French television service of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) on Sunday. Asked about Iran’s view on Rio 20+ meeting in Brazil where new frameworks of developmental issues were discussed, Samareh-Hashemi noted that the main topics discussed at the meeting were on development and also environmental issues. “Those countries that considered themselves as benchmark in the world are trying to establish new organizations on the basis of which to bestow new commitments on poor and developing countries and also to prevent them from making progress,” he added. Elaborating on Islamic Republic of Iran’s stances in Rio 20+, Samareh-Hashemi pointed out that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in that summit explained about the basics of development, saying that throughout history war and insecurity has always been expanding and humans have been deprived of prosperity and welfare. 'Those people who are to be held responsible for problems of humanity are trying to provide solutions for the future of mankind,” he added./end
