Russian and Arab top diplomats to meet in Moscow February 26

MOSCOW, February 18. /TASS/. A ministerial meeting of the Russia-Arab Forum of Collaboration assembles on February 26 in Moscow, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday. "The third session...will be held with heads of the Russian Foreign Ministry and the League of Arab Nations. The foreign ministers of UAE, Jordan, Bahrain and Egypt are expected," she said. The foreign ministers from Lebanon, Sudan and Yemen have also stated their willingness to participate in a gathering scheduled to adopt plans for future action, she added. Discussion will assess "Middle East and African issues with a focus on current crisis in those territories and finding ways to address this", Zakharova said. Delegates will also review the fight against extremism and terrorism and building a zone from which weapons of mass destruction are banned. Read more
