Klimov, who is the deputy head of the foreign affairs committee of the Federation Council, Russia’s upper house of parliament, met with the secretary of North Korea’s ruling party’s central committee Kim Ki Nam.
The sides discussed the schedule of the upcoming bilateral contacts with the goal of exchanging experience on the party policies and also the prospects of cooperation as part of the programs for multilateral regional cooperation between the youth, veteran and women’s organizations.
The discussion also focused on drafting the agreement on inter-party cooperation. A protocol was signed following the consultations.
Klimov told TASS that the United Russia party was interested in establishing contacts with "all the serious political organizations in neighboring countries."
