Russian Official: West's Claims On Iran N-program, Media Hype

Moscow, Oct 31, IRNA – Chairman of the Social Council at the Russian Defense Ministry, Igor Korotchenko, said on Tuesday that west led by US has launched media hype against Iran's peaceful nuclear program. The Russian official made the remarks in an interview with Russian radio. Iranian top officials have declared for many times that Iran's nuclear program is of peaceful nature and the inspections made by the IAEA proved nothing else, he said. The US and Israel escalate tension on Iran's nuclear program for political ends , he said. He said that there is no doubt that IAEA reports should be considered by the international community rather than the irresponsible comments made by US or Israel. He said that Israel has dual approach to nuclear program, it has stockpiles of nuclear warheads which has been approved by the intelligence organizations of other countries. He said that based on latest data gathered by Hezbollah drone which was shut down by Israeli anti aircraft, Tel Aviv possesses many nuclear stockpiles, he said. Iran is fully aware of humanitarian disaster the nuclear weapons have posed to the international community and has no plan to produce such weapon, he said./end
