Russian Religious Leader Praises Iranˈs Ties With Russian Muslims

Moscow, Feb 20, IRNA – Deputy Head of Russian Mufti Council Damir Mohei-o-ddinev in a meeting with Iranˈs Cultural Attaché in Moscow Abuzar Ebrahimi Turkman praised Iranˈs good ties with Russian Muslim community. In the meeting, Mohei-o-ddinev called cooperation between Iran and Russia Muslim community useful and added that interaction between the two sides has had good results so far. He expressed readiness of the council to open Iranˈs cultural chamber and Farsi language department in Moscow Islamic University. Mohei-o-ddinev also expressed readiness for assistance of Russia Mufti council in obtaining construction authorization for Shia mosque in Nizhny Novgorod. Ebrahimi said Russian Muslims are important for Iran, adding that appropriate cooperation has been made in recent years with the council .
