Scientific Meeting Of Int’l Persian Gulf Conference Held In Busheher

Bushehr, April 29, IRNA - The scientific meeting of International Persian Gulf Conference, attended by prominent researchers and thinkers from Iran and other countries kicked off in Bushehr on Saturday . Secretary of scientific committee of the conference Abdolkarim Mashayekh told IRNA that besides Iranian researchers and scholars, their colleagues from Iraq, Turkey, Britain and other countries are participating the meeting and the conference to open Sunday. He said the participants are to present their recent findings and research works on the history of the Persian Gulf from cultural, tourism, political and geographical points of view. Mashayekh said the conference marking the National Day of Persian Gulf will be inaugurated by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Sunday April 29. He said the one day gathering will also be held in different scientific categories chaired by participants from foreign research centers and universities. “The conference is sponsored by the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization, Foundation of Iranology, the Organization of Iranian National Library and Bushehr Governorate General,” he said./end
