Serbian analyst: Improvement of West economy depends on 5+1 talks
Belgrade, Nov 9, IRNA – A Serbian analysts while referring to economic problems facing the EU and the US due to the wrong policy of imposing sanctions said it should be admitted that improvement of economies of Western countries is dependent on the result of the talks between 5+1 and Iran.
Speaking to IRNA here, M. Jovanovich said no difficulty in the world has so far been solved through war or imposition of sanctions rather all issues have been removed behind negotiation table and through bilateral understanding.
He said the clear example of wrong imposition of sanctions can be seen in the case of Iran which after 35 years of useless unilateral sanctions has been able to achieve great progress in different fields such as technology by relying on its own experts.
He said Iran has been turned from a dependent country before the 1979 revolution into an exporter and self-sufficient country in many fields.
Stressing that the present world is multi-polar and a single country cannot impose its policies on others, Jovanovich said the BRIC countries including Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa in addition to other countries such as Iran have created a balance in the world which benefits the smaller and developing nations.
He praised Iran’s policy of maintaining relations with other countries based upon mutual respect and said success of this policy is being witnessed in the world today as many European countries have implemented it in their foreign policy.
The Serbian analyst supported Iran’s approach in nuclear technology which has been referred to by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution as ‘nuclear energy for all, nuclear weapons for nobody’ and said Iran has repeatedly proven that it is seeking promulgation of peace and stability at international levels.
He also referred to President Hassan Rouhani’s proposal on ‘coalition for peace, a world free from violence and extremism’ and said a country which is really trying for the establishment of sustainable peace in the world cannot be accused of developing weapons of mass destruction.
He expressed hope that with the signing of an agreement between 5+1 and Iran all sanctions against the Islamic Republic will be lifted and relations will be resumed within the framework of mutual respect./end
